We serve a big God!  Our God is limitless and infinite!  He cannot be contained!  We have to stop trying to contain God and boxing Him in.  I know, we don’t do it purposely, but we do it when we try and tell Him how to bless us.  God bless me with an apartment when God wants to give you a house!  God bless me with a six figure job when God wants to give you your own business and make you a millionaire!  Don’t limit God and don’t box Him in with your limited mindset!  God’s ways are not like our ways.  Isaiah 55:8&9 says, “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord.  As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.”

Also, don’t box God in by telling Him how to bless you.  He knows how to bless us and His plan to bless our life is bigger than what we can imagine with our finite thinking.  Too many times we box God in with our small prayers and small requests.  We have to stop playing small when we serve a big God!  I believe some of us are suffering from the “grasshopper syndrome”.  You know the story about the 12 spies sent to spy out the Promised Land.  A land that had already been promised to them so it doesn’t matter who is in the land it already belonged to them.  When God promises you something, it’s already yours!  Their own insecurities and doubts about their ability to possess the promise because of what they saw caused them to miss out on what God promised them.  Many of us are just like these spies, what we see with our natural eyes causes us to doubt our ability to possess what God has promised us!  When they went to spy out the land they saw giants and what they saw caused them see themselves as grasshoppers.

Many of us won’t admit it openly, but some of us see ourselves as grasshoppers because we are comparing ourselves to others.  Stop comparing yourself.  Comparison is the thief of your greatness. God has spoken a word over your life, and made some promises to you, but because of your insecurities and how you see yourself, you talk yourself right out of what God has already promised you.  We have got to see ourselves the way God sees us.  And it doesn’t matter who is in the land, they may be giants, they may be bigger than you, they may have more resources than you, they may have more money than you, they may have more followers than you, but if God said it’s yours it’s yours!!  Don’t be afraid, don’t be timid, and don’t retreat from what God has for you because of what you see with your natural eyes.  The Bible says that we walk by faith and not by sight. If God said it’s yours, you are well able and you are more than capable!!!

I know you don’t see where it’s coming from or how it’s going to happen.  Look at Gideon in Judges 6, God called him a mighty man of valor, but Gideon did not see himself as such.  He saw himself as the least from the weakest clan.  He was seeing himself through the eyes of flesh. I don’t know where you come from or what your background is, you may be like Gideon, you may be the least of them, but today God is calling you mighty, a man of valor, a woman of valor, today God is calling you victorious, more than a conqueror and an overcomer!

See yourself the way God sees you so that you can boldly come before His throne of grace and pray big, bold prayers.  Supersize your faith today; supersize your prayers today.  Stop praying small, stop believing small, stop thinking small and stop living small because you serve a big God who wants to bless you and He wants to bless you big!  He wants to do exceedingly and abundantly above all that you could ask or think, but you have to see yourself the way He sees you, you have to stop boxing Him in and you have to stop playing small.  No more low level, little living when I serve a big God who came that I might have life and have it more abundantly!
