Mark 2:1-5, And again He entered Capernaum after some days, and it was heard that He was in the house.   Immediately many gathered together, so that there was no longer room to receive them, not even near the door. And He preached the word to them.  Then they came to Him, bringing a paralytic who was carried by four men.  And when they could not come near Him because of the crowd, they uncovered the roof where He was.  So when they had broken through, they let down the bed on which the paralytic was lying.  When Jesus saw their faith, He said to the paralytic, “Son, your sins are forgiven you.”

In honor of Black History Month in the words of Malcom X “By Any Means Necessary”, by any means necessary we must get to Jesus!  We cannot let anything or anyone keep us from getting to Jesus.  The enemy sets up all kinds of road blocks to keep us from getting to Jesus, but we must be like the men in the text and make up our mind that we are not going to allow anything or anyone to keep us from Jesus!  We must have a made up mind that I’m going to get to Jesus by any means necessary!  I’m reminded of the woman with the issue of blood in Luke 8.  This woman had been bleeding for 12 years and no one could heal her.  Ladies we don’t like bleeding for a few days let alone 12 years!  But when Jesus came passing by this woman did not allow the crowds to keep her from Him.  There were so many people in the crowd that the text says they almost crushed Him, but she did not allow the crowd to deter her.  She knew that while no one else could heal her, Jesus could.  So she pressed her way and touched Him and received her healing.  Do you need something that no one else can give you but Jesus?  If so, I want to encourage you by any means necessary to press your way and touch Him and receive your healing, receive your breakthrough, receive your blessing!

I don’t know about you, but I need some things that no one else can give me or do for me, but God and I’m no longer going to allow anyone or anything to stand in my way, but I’m getting to Jesus and getting what I need from Him by any means necessary.   These men in our text had that same attitude, by any means necessary. They heard that Jesus was in the house, but there were so many gathered that they could not get in, there was no room not even near the door.  These men didn’t allow that to stop them, they didn’t turn around and go home and say “oh well we’re too late”, “we can’t get in”.  No.  These 4 men carried their paralytic friend to the roof and took the roof off and lowered him down before Jesus.  The text says when Jesus saw their faith He said your sins are forgiven.  My question to you today is does Jesus see your faith?
